Main Deliverables

Deliverable Title Description
D1.1.4 – Theoretical Models The objectives of this document are, on one side, to provide the theoretical models for video flows in the CONVINcE system and, on the second side, to suggest the concepts of performance optimization in CONVINcE, which are in terms of minimum end-to-end energy consumption and best QoE at end user.
D1.1.5 – Forecast models The objectives of this document are to go one step forward and to provide forecast models expected in networking scenarios considered in CONVINcE
D1.2.2 – Business cases (2nd version) The purpose of the deliverable is to provide an analysis of the energy consumption savings obtained by introducing CONVINcE research results, comparing the State Of The Art (SOTA) reference scenario with the scenarios studied by the project: Edge Cloud, Software Defined Networks, (SDN), Network Functions Virtualization (NFV) and Content Delivery Network (CDN).
D1.2.3 – Business cases (3rd version) An Update on business cases
D2.2.2 – Updated specification of power efficient encoder This document focuses on the part of a video headend by studying the architecture elements of video coder/transcoder and their impact on power consumption.
D3.1.2 – Specification of energy saving mechanisms in the core-metro network This deliverable shows that the energy consumption of transport networks increases proportionally with the traffic increase.
D3.3.2 – Design of energy efficient CDN (including data centers and cloud) This deliverable is focused on exploring new architectures, techniques, and solutions that can facilitate the saving of energy consumed for content distribution, while, in the meantime, the required Quality of Service (QoS) constraints are satisfied.
M4.1.1 – Demonstration of first functional versions of the power saving mechanisms Introduces the initial demonstrations for Power Saving in the Terminals (WP4). At this phase, the demonstrations are partner-specific.
D4.1.2 – Description of energy-aware video processing architecture on terminals This deliverable describes an energy-aware video processing architecture on terminals.
D4.2.2-Description of prototypes of energy saving mechanisms for resource usage and collaborative architectures CONVINcE addresses the challenge of reducing the power consumption in IP-based video networks with an end-to-end approach, from the Head End, where contents are encoded and streamed to the terminals where they are consumed, embracing the CDN and the core and access networks.
D4.3.2 – Description of prototypes for energy saving mechanisms for security and privacy on terminals This document describes mechanisms and prototypes for saving energy in mobile terminals by focusing on the consumption of security and privacy algorithms used by video delivery networks.
D5.2.1 Measurement tools development completion and calibration, integration into test-bed(s) The Objective of this report (“D.5.2.1”) is to describe the tools used for the power consumption measurements in different use-case scenarios defined under the scope of CONVINcE.
D5.3.1 – Completion of full demonstrators’ experiments and validation, demonstration of all use-cases with all measurement tools integrated The objective of this report is to describe the use-case scenarios defined under the scope of CONVINcE and to validate the results of power consumption measurements for each scenario.
D6.1.1 – Standardization report #1 Presents a collection of the contributions made by the project partners helping to identify at the end of the project the impact created in the standardization bodies.
D6.1.2 Standardization report #2 The final version of the contributions made by the project partners helping to identify at the end of the project the impact created in the standardization bodies.
D6.2.1 – Publication report #1 Reports the publication activities of the CONVINcE project partners during the first half of the project including the participated events and the published papers by partners.
D6.2.2 – Publication report #2 Reports the publication activities of the CONVINcE project partners during the project period.
M6.3.2 – Poster of the project Presents the focus and research topics of the project, as well as expected results and project partners.
Its purpose is to be used in exhibitions and conferences for presenting the project.
M6.3.3 – Brochure of the project Gives an overview of the project.
Project focus & approach and main expected results are explained. It is intended to be distributed at the occasion of exhibitions and conferences.
